The Shadows Aren’t Always What They Seem…
A YA fantasy about truth, illusion, and the cost of courage.
In a world where reality is woven from living tapestries, every lie unravels the threads that hold creation together.
Sixteen-year-old Felicity Alcott was born to weave the tapestries that hold her world together, but when a shadowed sorceress begins unraveling them, she discovers that her family’s hidden magic may be the key to stopping Arachne’s twisted designs. When the terrifying Shadowmen annihilate her village and slaughter most of her family, Felicity vows to master her craft and confront the darkness spreading across the kingdom.
As war looms over Aurelia, Felicity embarks on a perilous journey to Cordia Hall, the sanctuary of the Threadkeepers, hoping to uncover the truth of her power. But, every answer only tangles the threads further.
At its heart, Threadkeepers is a story about truth and illusion, and the price of courage in a broken world. It weaves lyrical prose, mythic symbolism, and romantic tension into a tale that asks:
What do we owe to the truth, when lies hold the world together?
Blending the emotional resonance of fairy tales with the moral complexity of epic fantasy, the series explores what happens when destiny, free will, and love become threads of the same tapestry.
AUTHOR’S NOTE:
I began writing Threadkeepers to explore themes of truth, integrity, and courage. I wanted to see what would happen when a young girl, who loves her quiet life at home, was forced to face not only physical peril, but also come to terms with moral complexities we all face every day.
